i took some photo last july from the Penthouse suite of the Maxwell Hotel in San Francisco, and the fogginess made for some interesting effects wrt the architecture...the ones used in this piece just made me think of some ambiguous empire of a time long passed.
acrylic paint, acrylic ink, screenprinting ink, photography + digital
beautiful work. the touch of red, combined with the classical style of architechture, remind me of the fall of Rome, through corruption and murders inside Rome itself. really interesting.
I really like where this piece is pointing towards. I dont feel like everything was developed completely; I can tell that this was an initial experiment. I really like it though, some more development would help carry it farther in my oppinion.
blah i love this, have i ever told you that you're amazing hehe
this reminds me of alot of my own pieces and is the kind of quality that I'm trying to work up to...i love the markmaking and the use of mixed media...and the colors are absolutely beautiful, blues and oranges are usually my first choice of complementary colors, definetly a
Interesting mix of mediums. I like the creativeness of using both photos and paint. I like the kind of spontaneous feel you've created with the brush strokes. I think the different color palettes adds a fun feel for this...not sure if you wanted to express this, but it's very nice. Good job.
