Another of the jazz titans. In this case, the great juggernaut of the bass, Charles Mingus. Ths is actually still a work in progress (well, it's getting somewhere).

Progressing nicely, not sure if I'm more for v3 or v4 at the moment. I'm sure the final will eclipse both, though.

Oh my lord this is just wonderful! What a change simply using a different colour to white can make! It really has the right FEEL!

+ favs later. Love it.

DEF like this one more than the first.
This is great. Any hopes to make a series of this? If so... it'd be so great to see your jestural lines take on a saxaphone.

Any hopes to make a series of this?

Almost anything I do is subject to being serialized depending on my mood and whether I think I can develop a workable concept.

Truth be told, I already have several other jazzmen lined up, although most are more obscure than Mr. Mingus (i.e. Grachan Moncur III and Gary Bartz)

Along with V5, I like this one best.

V5 is a bit more intense with the red colours and all which goes along fine with Mingus' music and it also has a slightly better skin toning then this one, but I' more charmed by this one.

I like the woodcarving-like lines you've used in tihs work and the monotone blue goes better with the subject and adds to the timeless like feel. Mayby a brow/yelow-ish tone would be great here too > a bit in the line of what you got going in V5 in the skin tones.

Great quality.
