mingus v3 by zeruch mingus v3 by zeruch
Another of the jazz titans. In this case, the great juggernaut of the bass, Charles Mingus. Ths is actually still a work in progress.

This has a pleasing, pungent, bluesy mood to it. Great contrast. and imaginative perspective.
I can't not :+fav: this

I like it, but I can really tell its a W.I.P, you can pick up that it's lacking , I look forward to the finished version man!

I really love this image - I'm a big mingus fan, and think that this is perfect for him. But as it is a WIP, I feel I can tell you what I think could be improved upon; I hope that's okay. The (what looks like but isn't) marker lines on the bass detract from the form of the bass and are distracting. Also, Mingus' hand looks like a blob; it could use a little more definition.

wonderful man! Captures his essence beautifully! The Blue really makes this stand out and goes with the persona of the artist your depicting.

you and your WIPs... i personally think this looks great as it is. the 'not so finished, and yet quite finished' look this has going is really blunt and brilliant in its presentation, imho. But, let the artist to his own devices, it'll be interesting seeing how this progresses

Great gritty groovethang going on here! The head of the bass is just a tad more sloppy than the rest, but I think the feel suits the music.
