So this is made intentionally to print at large size (although the original linework was not). The idea is that Inkscape and some of its features allow me to tweak simple linework quite radically if I use the potrace function along with a large sample rate, and then tweak inflections in the strokes, and add or delete fills as desired.
This was initially a 4\" x 6\" ballpoint line drawing that I scanned at 300 DPI (a 600 one exists, but it was a pain to deal with) then torqued in Inkscape and finished in Photoshop. The details (and feel free to dl the \'full sized\' image to see more) was designed to be plastered on any wall at large size where a rather enigmatic face could stare back at passers by.
I am thinking of making a variation with a word/though bubble left open, so people can get prints or postcards, insert whatever witticism they wish, and use accordingly.
It was originally going to be called 'The Elitist'
I love this... it reminds me of John Belushi... and the colours in the full view are great, you don't really notice them at first, but it seems really intricate.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
