It has been a while, and this is far from a completed work, but I took the base painting and started working it over with Inkscape.
For the uninitiated, Eric Raymond was someone I met while working at VA Linux, and got along with quite well, even though our political and cultural opinions often veered quite wide of each other. He is, if nothing, colorful.
He is responsible for things like the Halloween Documents, and maintenance of the Jargon File.
Of your portraits, this is one of my absolute faves!
I like how it has a kind of pop-art vibe, but on closer inspection and great deal of subtlety and mystique.
Gorgeous work.
I wonder what the finished thing will be like! It doesn't look unfinished to me.
This is one of those that it's fun to zoom in and out of. It keeps changing. It feels slightly more abstract than your others.

Very colorful image for a colorful man. I really like the style, and the "intricate simplicity" (for lack of a better word)...also, something about the lip being dark really brings out the entire vibe of the image.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
