I do recommend that everyone get
familiar with the FAQ/Helpdesk

There is also the DA Status Forum (always informative), and the Etiquette Policy is something you should all refer to, because I do tend to lurk about in several of the public forums.

================================================================================

I have been described as an open source geek, a policy wonk, and even a bit of a creative illustrator (the latter being what folks here are most likely familiar with). All are at least partially true I suppose. I've been called all manner of adjectives, most of them contrarian. I was described once as a cross between Tucker Carlson and Lenny Kravitz. I have neither bow ties nor dreadlocks, but the description sounded incredibly cool, so I figured it was worth mentioning here.

I initially studied an individual major in Foreign Affairs and Technology Policy at UC Davis (with a language component at UC Berkeley), and am now starting to take coursework in Civil Litigation. I currently work in a few venues: a networking startup in Silicon Valley and do consulting to a corporate attorney in private practice, as well as occasional projects that meet my requirements for being interesting (which is a pretty broad category of potential). As one can derive from all of this, I do not do idle well, and I am not prone to boredom.

Here at DA I worked the HD for a year before moving to one of the Gallery Director slots for Traditional, until I sent myself out into the sunset in May of 2008. My own focus is on mixed media and looking for people who have yet to establish themselves. I periodically write content features, and regularly contribute to several of the forums.

I'm back to blogging (I'll syndicate to social media, but I'm quite done with the networks as a primary driver of anything, as the content management and putrefaction of it's loudest voices is now not so much jumped the shark, as much as murdered the shark and is wearing its skull like a codpiece).

So, how does one submit something for a print now. It really seems like every....single...goddamn...thing, on DA, is intentionally or ineptly, broken. I'd say it's dark pattern UX, but this seems so much more clumsy and poorly executed than planned. My god WIX, you were supposed to at least make things useful for selling art, and you can't get that sorted worth a half-damn.

Folks, the volume of #NFT style #scams here is starting to truly turdbloom. Here's the rub; don't buy into ANY of them without making them do a #KYC/AML financial check (either if you have the tooling yourself, or do a transaction through a VASP). If they are not willing to be transparent about their position and the quality of their wallet, assume bad intent. My guess is the brilliant "minds" at DA trust & safety are doing sod-all about this, so you should.

Charlize Theron 1

Thanks for the faves! Much apricated!

And thanks in return. It's always nice to see creative folks dancing in the same referential spaces.

...and yet that doesn't make him innocent, only fortunate...for now (as I suspect unless he decides to live in a white supremacist enclave for the rest of his days, that in general his life is in for a less than smooth ride).

He's still trash, and I suspect you enjoy being much the same.
